Work Organisation - 5

According to the PP, you can achieve 80% of your results with 20% of your total effort (or 20% of your time). Again, you should make a priority list to make sure that most of your work goes to the most important tasks.

Welcome to another topic in work organization. Today we would like to introduce the Pareto Principle or 80/20 Rule

The Pareto Principle (PP) is also about dedicating yourself to the tasks that have the greatest impact. You can use it to increase your productivity and efficiency.

Think about what effort is necessary for which processes. In most cases, a lot can be improved there.

According to the PP, you can achieve 80% of your results with 20% of your total effort (or 20% of your time). Again, you should make a priority list to make sure that most of your work goes to the most important tasks.

Of course, this does not mean that you can rest on 20%: The PP simply states that you can achieve 80% with 20% of the effort. To do this, you have to show one hundred per cent commitment in spite of all and work in a concentrated and planned manner during this time.

And of course, there are also tasks that are not among the most effective, but still need to be done, such as dealing with your emails.

With this principle, you learn to delegate some rather less important tasks or move them further down your list. Also, you don't have to panic if time is tight. It is mainly about structuring yourself and clarifying which things have priority and which need too much attention for too little relevance.

If you can work more efficiently and focus on specific measures, you should be able to achieve maximum impact with minimum effort.

Use your time!
